MLS Play Off Final – Canada Rules


Toronto FC 2 – 0 Seattle Sounders

It may have escaped your attention, but overnight the MLS playoff final took place, history books now show, for the first time, Canada have the Champions of North American Soccer.

Toronto were not flattered by the 2-0 score line, as Seattle Sounders keeper (last years hero)  Stefan Frei, once again threatened to derail Toronto’s push for victory, with a string of fine saves in the first half.

Sebastian Giovinco who had been dictating attacks during the game, managed to create the pass to Altidore, who eluded Roman Torres and fired over Frei, to break the deadlock in the 67th minute.
