Check out the full line and overview here
Game 1 – Mensur Suljovic (9/10) v Simon Whitclock (23/10) – Draw – 33/10
It’s all about form, and Simon Whitlock is a player that truly reflects this, when his good his good, when his cold his cold, tonight he is up against Suljovic who is proving to be Mr Consistent, and it is this consistency that makes him the favorite for tonight’s game.
Our Prediction: Mensur Win
Game 2 – Gary Anderson (11/20) v Michael Smith (33/10) – Draw – 4/1
The last two years have seen a huge improvement in Michael Smith, could he be a outsider for the top 4 ? That we are not sure of, but he could pull of a shock or two in the league. Gary Anderson enjoys playing Michael Smith, and the pace they both play works well for Gary, and plays into his hands we feel.
Our Prediction: Gary Anderson win
Game 3 – Daryl Gurney (8/5) vs Raymond van Barneveld (6/5) – Draw 33/10
Barney is always one to watch , and we see no reason why he can’t make the play offs this time round, Gurney would have preferred anyone of Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith or Simon Whitlock, who may all be suffering from nerves tonight, but instead he got the old hand Barny, tough start!
Our Prediction: Barny Win
Game 4 – Michael van Gerwen (8/13) vs Rob Cross (33/10) – Draw 18/5
The game of the night, MVG won the masters, his form was patchy to start with and he grew into the tournament, and even though he won the final, you could feel the relief, as it was not the MVG we know. Rob Cross knows he can put a marker down here, a win against MVG would really set the cat amongst the pigeons, but playing the Premier League top dog is a daunting start, even for Rob Cross?
Our Prediction: MVG win
‘I don’t care what anyone thinks’ and why should he, that is Gerwyn Price, he cares about his darts and his darts solely, he is not bothered if he upsets the apple-cart, this is a shorter format which he may well prefer, but, his opening game is against “Snakebite”, this is going to be testing, the big occasion, waiting to go on last, the whole build up is new to him, Gerwyn Price will upset a few but tonight is all about him relaxing, and Peter Wright loves a cagey opponent.
Our prediction: Wright wins
